Apple is investing directly in renewable energy projects, including a major energy storage project in California

Over the last 10 years, DD&A has worked in a variety of capacities on the California Flats Solar Project, the largest renewable energy development project in Monterey County. The 280 MW solar development project will help power Apple’s corporate headquarters, and includes solar photovoltaic arrays and other ancillary facilities, including two substations, a switching station, and other related improvements. Most recently, DD&A has been actively engaged with a talented team of attorneys, engineers, scientists, and resource specialists to modify the existing facility to include a battery energy storage system, one of the largest in the county as discussed further in the article below. Working on the California Flats Solar Project and the recent battery energy storage system modification has been a privilege for DD&A and we are grateful for the opportunity.
